Getting started
How do I create my first team?
Open Buz Score, head to the Home or Teams tab and tap Create new team. Add a name, pick a color, and start adding players with their jersey numbers and positions. Save when you have at least one player on the roster.
Which match formats are supported?
Buz Score supports 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11. Each format ships with sensible default half-lengths, but you can change which players start automatically and substitute live during the match.
Can I use Buz Score on iPad?
Yes. The app runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or newer. Your data does not sync between devices, since everything stays local.
During a match
How do substitutions work?
Tap the substitute button next to any player on the field, then pick a player from the bench. Their minutes carry over and the sub counts update automatically. You can also send a player to the bench without an immediate replacement.
What does the fair-play badge mean?
Buz Score compares each player's minutes to the squad average. Players below 70% of the average show Needs time, players above 130% show Plenty, and the rest are Balanced. Use it as a nudge, not a rule.
Can I pause the timer?
Yes. Tap the pause button under the clock at any point, for water breaks, injuries or stoppages. Player minutes pause too. Tap again to resume.
I closed the app mid-match. Did I lose my game?
If the app is fully terminated during a live match, the live state is reset for safety. Finished matches are saved permanently in the Matches tab.
Buz Score Pro
What's included with Pro?
Pro removes the limits on the free tier — you get unlimited teams, an unlimited roster size per team, unlimited match history, custom themes, and access to upcoming Pro features. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple ID that bought Pro, open Buz Score, go to Settings → Upgrade to Pro and tap Restore purchases. Your entitlement will sync within a few seconds.
Can I get a refund?
App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID that made the purchase.
Data & privacy
Where is my team data stored?
Everything lives locally on your device. Buz Score has no server and never uploads roster or match data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete a team or match?
Open the team or match, tap the menu in the top-right and choose Delete. To wipe everything, use Settings → Reset all data.
Can I back up my data?
Buz Score relies on iCloud's standard device backup. As long as your iPhone or iPad is included in iCloud Backup, your roster and match history are protected. We're working on dedicated export features for a future Pro release.
